A Perfect Bound booklet is one with a flat fine. In perfect binding, the sheets of the book are gathered together and glued along the binding edge, over which the cover of the booklet is placed. The pages get bound to the cover spine in this process. Perfect binding is the option for you for books with pages more than 28 and in perfect binding, the final page count has to be a multiple of 2.
Note: in printing a sheet of paper has 2 sides, so 1 sheet is referred to as 2 pages, so if you have a page 11″ X 17″, and in your book layout it folds into half at 8.5″ X 11″ , each sheet would be referred to as 4 pages.
